SUNDAY BRUNCH: BOTTOMLESS MIMOSAS IN SAN DIEGO

Bottomless Mimosas San Diego

Congratulations!  You’ve survived another week, and it’s time to celebrate life, love, and happiness over food and drink in the 48 hours sandwiched between the real world called “making a living”.

Sometimes the best times to celebrate life are when it’s bright and early and the sun is up: people are recognizable, the day is fresh, and it’s totally acceptable to wear flip-flops and jean shorts almost anywhere you go in San Diego.  I’m going to help you save money and eat some amazing food in this list of best weekend spots that offer bottomless mimosas and brunch in San Diego!

Please keep in mind that this list isn’t a ranking of which is better than the other.  Each restaurant is unique in its own way. I just want you to get some good suggestions for places to go that don’t have an hour wait to be seated, and have unlimited mimosas for $10 or less!!!

  1. Voltaire Beach House

Let’s start off with a relatively new restaurant in Ocean Beach called Voltaire Beach House.  This quaint venue boasts 4 stars on Yelp, and has wonderful brunch options such as the Fried Chicken and Waffle Sandwich, Breakfast Burger, and Pineapple Express Bowl.  The $14.95 bottomless mimosas come in two flavors: classic orange juice and guava, so be sure to come thirsty and enjoy!

2. Ortega’s Bistro

Just southeast of Mission Hills on University Ave is the local Hillcrest favorite Ortega’s Bistro, a Mexican restaurant serving up traditional Baja Cuisine, Mexican breakfast, as well as a few American favorites.  Order the Mexican coffee with Kahlua and whipped cream before diving into the main dishes which include choices such as the Shrimp Omelet, Chorizo con Huevo, and the health conscious Egg White Veggie Scramble.  Bottomless OJ mimosas are $9.95, or you can choose to opt for one of their delicious craft cocktails during happy hour!

3. Bootlegger

In the Gaslamp Quarter, there are many restaurants, but only a few do brunches the right way. One restaurant that falls in this category is Bootlegger, and their insane hangover helper menu will have you drooling in an instant. Popular items at this downtown San Diego joint include the Stuffed French Toast and California Burrito, and their bottomless mimosas are $14.95 until 1pm on weekends.

4. Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern

Now, if you want to be by the water, I would suggest heading toward Point Loma, to Jimmy’s Famous American Tavern aka Jimmy FATs.  This brunch spot sits right on the marina, and has a beautiful patio to soak in the sun for your delicious San Diego brunch experience.  Order the traditional Steak and Eggs, or for a sweeter meal, go with the Crème Brulee French Toast with maple syrup.  Bottomless mimosas here are $10 until 3pm!

Please let us know of your favorite weekend brunch spots by leaving a comment just below. We would love to hear your suggestions!
